The Mayday began with the car looking spotless and ready to race with its new car graphics.
Shaun qualified 6th with one of his best qualifying laps so far!
Race Report (from the event)
"Chris Southcott’s Honda Civic EK9, first seen at Castle Combe to- wards the end of last season, proved fast but recalcitrant on Easter Monday, breaking in both Motul-supported Hot Hatch races, thus the Hampshireman was relieved to turn the tables on recent nemesis Shaun Goverd three weeks later. Southcott qualified third for the Mayday Madness event’s single race behind Goverd (Citroen AX) and Jordan Hurman (Civic FD2R), but screamed past Goverd on lap two and stayed there. Goverd glued his sweet-handling machine to Southcott’s tail but a massive spin into the infield leaving Camp on lap 14 left him a distant second ahead of W-A-S team mate Shaun Deacon (Peugeot 106 GTi). All three won their classes with fastest laps, Deacon staving off Geoff Ryall, rapidly getting to grips with his similar car, previously Adrian Slade’s Saloon title winner."
Shaun finished 3rd overrall and 1st in his class with his fastest lap 1.15
Another great day of racing, thank you to all our supporters.
